In Banogue Community Creche we blend a wide variety of curriculums to ensure a we achieve a holistic development.
AISTEAR
Aistear is the curriculum framework for children from birth to six years in Ireland. It provides information for adults to help them plan for and provide enjoyable and challenging learning experiences, so that all children can grow and develop as competent and confident learners within loving relationships with others. Aistear describes the types of learning (dispositions, values and attitudes, skills, knowledge, and understanding) that are important for children in their early years, and offers ideas and suggestions as to how this learning might be nurtured.

REGGIO EMILIA
The Reggio Emilia Approach is an educational philosophy based on the image of a child with strong potentialities for development and a subject with rights, who learns through the hundred languages belonging to all human beings, and grows in relations with others.
PLAY BASED LEARNING
The following components are included in play-based learning:
1) Self-chosen: young children voluntarily choose what, when, and how to play. as soon as an adult suggests or offers play, that counts as initiating play; the child gets to decide what else to do.
2) Enjoyable: A child finds play to be fun. This emotional element is crucial. While there could occasionally be frustrations or difficulties when playing, it's generally enjoyable.
3) Unstructured: During play, a child has plenty of opportunity to investigate and learn. They are not guided by any set plans or regulations, but rather by their own interests.
4) Process-focused: No end or learning objective exists. In fact, what's important is the playing process itself.
5) Make believe: Imagination, "make believe," or "playing pretend" are common components of play.
